Why Is There No Response from My ESC?

If you're experiencing no response from your ESC, please ensure the following:

Voltage: Verify that you're using a power supply that provides sufficient voltage. Also, double-check the ESC power wiring to ensure the correct terminals are correctly connected.

Control Protocol: Confirm that the correct control protocol is selected for the signal you want to produce, as well as the rating of the hardware. To change the protocol, go to the Manual Control tab in the Flight Stand software, click on the gear icon, and adjust the output settings. From the dropdown menu, you can choose from various protocols, such as Standard PWM, Oneshot, or DShot.

FMU Control Port: Ensure you're connected to the correct control port on the force measurement unit (FMU), labelled ESC. The pin locations are marked on the side of the casing.

Set-Up Procedure: Make sure to follow the correct setup procedure for your ESC. For example, if your ESC requires PWM output before power output, and this order is reversed, there will be no response. Be sure to follow the instructions in your ESC manual.

Following these steps should help resolve any issues with your ESC response.
