Software Driver Issues

Troubleshooting instructions for if your computer can't find the software driver automatically. Follow the steps for Windows, Mac, or Linux.

If your computer does not find the driver automatically, follow those steps:

Our tool uses the FT231X USB IC to communicate with the computer. You will need to install the Virtual Com Port driver from FTDI. The driver is the same as the one for Arduino boards. Follow the instructions below.

Windows

1) Download this driver: v2.12.06.exe

2) Execute the file using administrator privileges (right-click on program icon and click “Run as administrator”).
